This time out, Everclear will share the stage with fellow rock bands Live, Filter and Sponge, for a decidedly edgier Summerland trek.
Summerland 2013 Alternative Guitars commences on May 29th in Ft. Myers, Florida and rocks all the way to the end of July with a date at Bonner Springs, Kansas’ Cricket Wireless Amphitheatre on July 27th.
Tickets go on sale Saturday, March 30 at 10am at Ticketmaster.com, all Ticketmaster outlets, charge by phone 800-745-3000, Time Warner Cable Music Pavilion and the Duke Energy Center box offices.
Turn on radio stations across the country and you’re still likely to hear fistfuls of hits from these four bands. With songs like “Father of Mine,” “Santa Monica,” “Lightning Crashes,” “I Alone,” “Hey Man, Nice Shot,” “Take a Picture,” “Plowed” and “Molly” – and the list goes on and on – being played night in and night out by Everclear, Live, Filter and Sponge, Summerland 2013 represents a huge value for music fans and a great summer’s night out.
“Last year’s Summerland was a blast,” says the tour creator Art Alexakis. “This year we’ve brought a decidedly edgier flavor bill to satisfy all of the fans of 90s rock and roll out there. It’s going to be an amazing summer night every night on Summerland 2013 Alternative Guitars.”
Everclear Summerland VIP packages, including great tickets, meet and greet, an acoustic performance, exclusive merchandise and more are available beginning on Tuesday, March 26th at www.summerlandtour.net.

Exploding onto the 90s alternative music scene with a string of hits such as “I Alone,” “Lightning Crashes,” “Lakini’s Juice,” “Dolphins Cry,” “Operation Spirit,” “Selling the Drama,” “White, Discussion,” and “All Over You,” Live is back touring with their signature spiritual sound headed up by new lead singer, Chris Shinn, formerly of Unified Theory. Live has sold more than 20 million albums worldwide. Look out for new songs on the horizon carrying the same poetry, power, and passion that have always been a favorite of their rabid fan base.

Filter indoctrinated listeners with a stereophonic assault of hurtling drum machine-generated beats, raw guitar riffs and vocalist/guitarist Richard Patrick's impassioned vocals with their debut album, the platinum-certified Short Bus, which spawned the intrepid smash single, “Hey Man, Nice Shot”. Brandishing an extensive body of material spanning five albums and several motion picture soundtrack contributions, Filter's most revered tracks include “Take A Picture”, “Welcome To The Fold” and landmark collaboration with The Crystal Method for “(Can't You) Trip Like I Do”. Filter's sixth studio album The Sun Comes Out Tonight is slated for release in June 2013, featuring Filter's hallmark genre-bending fusion of electronic, rock and industrial music, heralded by the ornate instrumentation and furious vocal delivery of lead single “What Do You Say”.
(Vinnie Dombroski, lead vocals; Kyle Neely, guitar; Andy Patalan, guitar; Tim Patalan, bass; Billy Adams, drums)
During the boom of the mid-90’s, Detroit based alternative rock band went Top 5 on the charts with songs, “Plowed” and “Molly (16 Candles).” With their catchy hooks and bone crunching riffs, the band went platinum on their debut album, Rotting Piñata. They are one of the most sought after live acts around and have been seen sharing the stage with such mega-artists as Guns N’ Roses, Nickelback, Iggy Pop, Soundgarden, Alice in Chains, and Kiss. Sponge is now touring in support of a brand new release Stop the Bleeding.
