Decemberists

Saturday night started out a little rough with high winds and rains causing some concern if the band would be able to take the stage. However most fans stuck it out and were pleasantly surprised to only get a bit damp and see  a full show!

Best Coast opened with lightning flashing behind them (at a safe distance). The natural light show only made their performance more impressive and created a great setting as the crowd anticipated the headliner.

When the Decemberists took the stage the crowd was pumped. Most of the songs they played were from their new album The King is Dead. Fans sang and/or danced the whole night through to songs like “Calamity Song,” “Down by the Water,” “Rise to Me” and “the Rake’s Song” along with many other rockin’ tunes.

When the final encore ended the night, many fans were reluctant to leave. The folksy upbeat music of the Decemberists followed many home that night and probably lulled them to sleep in their warm and dry beds.
